Mark Jones, MD, is a skilled and highly experienced anesthesiologist. He provides excellent care to patients at Pain Medicine of the South in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Dr. Jones received a Bachelor of Arts in screenwriting from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He then earned his doctoral degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisana.
Following medical school, Dr. Jones completed a general surgery internship and a residency in anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
He completed his training with a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the prestigious Weill Cornell tri-institutional program in Manhattan, New York, which included rotations at Cornell, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Dr. Jones is an avid researcher, has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, and has served on board positions in several societies. He is honored to bring the most up-to-date and cutting-edge minimally invasive interventional pain techniques to those in and around Knoxville, Tennessee
